About.
I am a 26-year-old Francophone and Métis skeleton athlete from Winnipeg, MB. After a successful track and field career as a sprinter and captain at the University of Manitoba, my sprints coach suggested I try the sport of skeleton. In the summer of 2023, I got on a skeleton sled for the first time at the Calgary Icehouse and have loved it ever since. I set the national push record within only eight training sessions at the Icehouse in Calgary. From then on, I completed my first competitive season in 2023-2024 on Team Canada. I quickly learned the sport, and during the first two races of my career, I finished within the top 10 in both. By the end of this past season, 2024-2025, I am now ranked third among the men on Team Canada.
Although my first two seasons were a success, it was challenging. Skeleton is daunting and very technical. Sometimes, the only way to learn or improve was to take hard hits and minor crashes. Being away from home, in a new environment, doing something I had never done before was difficult. Nonetheless, having those experiences early in my career has made me more resilient, and my passion for the sport has grown stronger.
Despite the non-traditional path I’ve taken thus far, my objectives and aspirations remain the same. I am more determined than ever. I am now ranked highly among other Team Canada sliders and aim to achieve my next big goal: competing at the Winter Olympics Games in 2026.
